Charlestown Birthday Celebration

Our babies are turning 2...crazy how fast time flies. I always thought people who said that were exaggerating or over using the cliche, but it couldn't be truer - especially when you have kids who can barely hold their heads up one day and are singing Happy Birthday the next.

Like last year, we got the kids together to celebrate everyone's 2nd birthdays. It was a blast and so fun to watch the little boys and girls that our babies have become. We even had our first game - pin the nose on Elmo! The kids actually got it and did quite well (especially Owen who literally put the nose on PERFECTLY- he made his parents proud!).

I can't wait to see what the next year will bring for everyone!

Let the Birthday Celebrations Begin!

While we were in Boston this past weekend, we had a birthday party for Eric and his Chucktown friends. Owen (one of his friends) has been practicing quite a bit for the party and his practicing has worn off on Eric. Here is a glimpse of what the last hour of our 7 hour ride was like... ;O)

In case you couldn't understand, here are the song lyrics:

"Happy Birthday to Pia (Sophia), Happy Birthday to Pia, Happy Birthday to Pia, Happy Birthday to Pia"

Vintage 2009

Our little girl is 2 months old already, can you believe it? We had her 2 month checkup on Tuesday and she weighed in at 12 lbs 2 ounces and is 24.5 inches long. Looks like we have another potential basketball player on our hands. Here is some footage of our happy, talkative girl.

BFFs

The Daniel Family (aka "Owen, Owen Mommy, & Owen Daddy") came to visit this past weekend. We had been building it up for sometime with Eric, so he had been chanting Owen all day for many days before the arrival. Boy...did they miss each other! They ran around all weekend, laughing at each other, hugging each other, and occasionally screaming at each other when the toy selection wasn't to their liking. We had a blast! We visited a few wineries on Saturday, took a bike ride around the neighborhood with a few road sodas, watched fireworks from our bedroom window, and went on the first of many big-boy amusement park rides. We are headed back to Boston next week, so they will get to hang out again. Funny how even at this age they can develop such strong friendships!

Thanks so much Kris and Craig for making the trip out!
