Skip, Skip, Skip to my Lou

Eric's favorite toy from his birthday (thanks Auntie Dena and Uncle Matty!) has taught him how to square dance.

Next up: The Bus Stop (led by his daddy of course!)

Our little Doug

Can you believe how much Eric looks like Doug?

And what makes it more crazy is that the teachers at the playroom at the gym told me that today he would follow behind the kids and pick up their toys and put them back in their place. He was ORGANIZING! What have we created??? ;O)

Prepared for the flood...

Sunday morning Eric decided to go through Mommy's gym bag and got out a pair of goggles. We thought it would be funny to put them on him.

However, little did we know that it was foreshadowing for what would come later that day when we got 2-3 inches of sewer water throughout the entire downstairs.

We are in the process of finishing the demolition and then will hopefully have contractors in next week to get our walls back up and carpet installed.
Until then, Eric is enjoying sleeping in the kitchen as he has easy access to milk if he gets hungry in the middle of the night!
Lessons learned?
1) Get a sewer rider on your homeowners insurance policy.
2) Don't let Eric play with goggles.

Have You Seen Brangelina's Twins?

Check out this cover. Do babies this young actually smile like that?

The Official Weigh-in

Everyone keeps asking, so I thought I would post the official results from the 1 year doctor visit.

Weight - 24lbs (67th percentile)
Height - 31 inches (I prefer to say "2 foot 7") (83rd percentile)
Head circumference - 19.25 inches (97th percentile)

Daddy is very proud of the big head...first thing he asked about. I am just hoping it is filled with more brains than air. ;O)

Happy 1st Birthday!

Sorry for the late post, but we have had a crazy week and our computer is down.

I am not sure if it is a result of Eric officially turning one or because the temper tandrums have surfaced and become more frequent, but it is starting to sink in that we no longer have a baby...we now have entered toddlerhood.

We decided to usher in this next great phase in our lives with a party with the family. All of the grandparents flew into Boston and we all drove up to Maine to take over at Dena and Matty's place once again. We had a fabulous weekend. The weather was perfect, the company kept us all laughing non-stop, our bellies were full of loads of seafood, and little man had a blast.

The highlights of the weekend....

- Father and Son matching outfits (At Doug's request...)

- A pretty impressive birthday cake (thanks again to Auntie Dena and Grandma Lohse...see more on http://www.syddesigns.com/)

- Presents Galore!

- Beach time

The weekend would not have been complete without the Grandpas teaching Eric a few things.

Grandpa Lohse taught Eric how to earn a little extra change for his piggy bank...

And Grandpa Wisch is getting Eric ready for the NFL with a little head butting...

A great 1st birthday with many more to come!
