Auntie Dena hand made this wonderful hat for Eric when he was a baby. And while I always appreciated the hard work and talent it took to knit it, the hat freaks me out a bit. When it was just Eric, I blamed it on its color; pink just wasn't meant for boys. However, now that Sophia has had her turn to wear it, I still am a bit freaked out by it. Honestly, it is a cross between Yoda and a chicken...never a good thing.
But of course, we still thank Auntie Dena for the one-of-a-kind gift. We love you Dena!! ;O)

OH MY, wait until Eric sees this picture when he is older. I don't think Aunti Dena meant it for this picture. The hat was meant for little Sophia, so cute.
oh my gosh - that is priceless!!! it also sort of looks like pig ears (and you could also bring it back out on Halloween in a pinch)!
miss you guys lots.
I LOVE IT! Seriously, how many kids can say they have a chicken viking hat! TWO! These pictures make me laugh every time..... so .... I was thinking of making the same thing in dark brown for thanksgiving... a sorta turkey viking hat. Val - you interested? LOL!!!! Auntie Dena strikes again! btw - Eric is crying because he doesn't get to wear it out in public:)
I love it. I see he was wearing it while he was doing the cleaning with his brush. It can be Eric's cleaning hat and Sophia's sleeping hat.
