Slow Fast Color Song

At school, Eric's class has been working on writing their own poetry for a few months. A few weeks ago, they had a local musican come in to the center and work with the kids on putting their poetry to music. Their first CD was just released. Track 4, Slow Fast Color Song, was written and sung by Eric's class and is a new Lohse household greatest hit. Eric is so proud! (I tried to find a way to put it on the blog and so far, no luck. But I will keep trying.)

Trip to the C-Bus

2 DVD players, 10 movies, a huge bag of snacks, toys, a secret bag of tricks, and alot of silliness...that's all it takes for the Lohse family to make it 13 hours in the car (6.5 hours each way). We had a fantastic time catching up with the Dillons, Gunsoreks and Blakes, which of course was the highlight of the trip. Chipolte(twice + a bag of chips and guac to go) was a close second! All of the kids had a blast and did awesome as usual. At one point we had 5 kids under 3 sound asleep in the same house (can you say parenting at its finest!?)

Here are some pictures of our trip. As you can see, Pia and Wyatt got pretty friendly. As a result, it may have been our last trip to Columbus. We will have to see if Daddy allows them to continue seeing each other. ;O)

Happy Birthday Pia!!

Can you believe it? Pia is already 1! The year has absolutely flown by. She has grown up so much and is quickly turning into such a fun little girl. Pia is such a blessing to our family. Even Eric has started telling her he loves her totally un-prompted!! (Wonder how long that will last!) And there is nothing like her smile!

We had a great weekend of parties with lots of family in town to help us celebrate (thank you so much everyone for making the trip!!) Here are a few of our favorite pictures so far (I think Dena has the winner though..more to come soon).
